I paint what makes my heart ache, exploring the nuances of loss: death, displacement, loss of control; bittersweet nostalgia for those once-in-a-lifetime experiences and moments that will never return. I combine mundane and surreal elements in my work to create scenes that capture our most intimate moments of transformation, loneliness, and longing.
I work in a variety of media, with my main focus in acrylic painting. I also enjoy non-dominant hand sketching, linoleum block printing, watercolor, digital drawing, and working with found, natural, or recycled materials.
